BOAT WRANGLER

Compensation: $8 – $10/hour
Seasonal Needs
Spring: March – May (Part time – weekends)
Summer: Memorial Day – Labor Day (Full time)
Fall: Sept – Oct (Part time – weekends)
Shift Hours:
Mon – Fri
9:00AM – close (5pm or when all customers are off the water)
Sat – Sun
8:00AM – Close (typically close at dusk)Must every Sat & Sun during the summer and 2-3 weekdays each week.

- Clean driving record

- Driving Test (conducted by BRC management)
- Physically able to lift 50 lb+ kayaks regularly
- Willing and able to learn BRC hospitality standards

- Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain Organized Work Space
- Maintain Clean Work Environment At All Times
- Assist with groundskeeping (mowing etc.)
- Check out equipment to customers
- Communicate safety and activity instructions to customers
- Facilitate assisting customers on and off the water
- Respond quickly to customers in need
- Understand reservation system and process
- Conduct monetary transactions for rentals
- Answer telephone and practice phone etiquette standards
- Be capable of substituting for office admin and driver duties
- Work special events as needed (possibly overnight)
HOSPITALITY SPECIALIST

Summer: Memorial Day – Labor Day (weekends only)
Shift Hours:
Sat – Sun (and holidays)
8:00AM – 5:00PM -
- Basic computer skills (microsoft office & google drive)
- Phone etiquette skills and experience
- Some retail experience preferred (we use Square & Fareharbor)

- Willing and able to learn BRC hospitality standards

- Inventory: Perform weekly retail inventory management tasks
- Be proficient in reservation system and process (training provided)
- Conduct monetary transactions for rentals and retail sales
- Answer phones (training provided)
- Perform customer check-in and registration tasks
- Be capable of substituting for some boat wrangler and driver duties
- Work special events as needed
SHUTTLE DRIVER

Sat – Sun (and holidays)
8:00AM – Close (typically close at dusk) -
- Available to work ALL weekends & holidays
- Valid 21 yrs old with Valid Drivers License (CDL is a plus)
- Clean driving record
- Drug Screening
- 3 References
- Driving Test (conducted by BRC management)
- Physically able to lift 50 lb+ kayaks regularly
- Willing and able to learn BRC hospitality standards

- Maintain Vehicles & Trailers: Routinely conduct vehicle inspection report to ensure vehicles ability for safe and comfortable transportation of customers and equipment
- Clean Vehicles & Trailers: Regularly ensure the cleanliness of vehicles inside and out (floors, seats, windows, dash, mirrors, instrument panels, wheels/tires, undercarriage, hitches, etc)
- Ensure vehicles and trailers are ALWAYS parked properly in assigned spots when not in use
- Perform shuttle services
- Demonstrate safe driving practices at ALL TIMES
- Properly secure equipment to trailers for transport
- Communicate safety and activity instructions to customers
- Facilitate assisting customers on and off the water
- Respond quickly to customers in need
- Understand reservation system and process
- Be capable of substituting for office admin and boat wrangler duties
- Work special events as needed (possibly overnight)
BOAT WRANGLER ASSISTANT

Note: This is an entry level position into recreation facilitation and administration. We are in search of teenage applicants who are willing to work part time (primarily Saturdays) during the summer season and learn the fundamentals of working in the recreation business.
