CELEBRATING 5 YEARS ON THE COLORADO RIVER
This March will mark 5 years since I began running kayaks and canoes on the Lower Colorado River. What I thought would be a hobby quickly turned into a passionate committment to pioneering new opportunities for recreation on this beautiful stretch of river.
The River Co is driven by a mission to provide a “safe, fun, convenient, well operated river recreation experience.” Sharing the experience of the river is what we do. And we have a great time doing it.
Over the past 5 years I have been lucky enough to work with some really great people pursuing our mission and entertaining our guests. I’ve always said, “the best part of this job is the people.”
Some of the best friendships I’ve been blessed with are people that I have worked with on the river. Everyday is an adventure at the River Co. Interacting with guests from all walks of life and dealing with the the challenges mother nature throws our way. It is truely exciting and rewarding to get to be the ambassadors of the Colorado River in Bastrop Tx.
The past 5 years have been the best years of my life. This year I am more enthusiastic than ever. With the Highland Lakes finally being full and the expectations of more consistent river flow it is going to be a great year on the Lower Colorado.
