HOW TO PLAN A YOUTH GROUP RIVER TRIP

a group of people that are standing in the water
Canoeing & kayaking river trips and river camping trips can be overwhelming to plan.
WE ARE HERE TO HELP… from beginning to end.
Here are tips to get you started:

1. At YOUR NEXT MEETING get the conversation started
Does the group want to do a day trip or camping trip? Are there any merit badges or specific skills they want to work on?
2. Contact us ASAP to SET A DATE. (we suggest initial contact about 3 months out)
Give us a call or complete the online REQUEST FORM
3. START YOUR LIST of interested participants and make sure parents are aware of the date so they can commit.
If individual participants are responsible for paying their own way, make sure they are aware of the deposit policy before signing up.
Upon initial contact we will help you select the right stretch of river and answer any additional questions you may have.  Throughout your planning process we will be in touch periodically by email and phone to discuss trip logistics and provide additional resources to assist you in the process.
We are here to make this an enjoyable experience for not only the youth paddlers but also the parents and volunteers who make these trips possible.
